In the 1900’s Barn Treasures Inn was used as a country inn with a hand fueled coal furnace and (wait your turn) bath for all guests. It still exudes the country charm with warm wood floors, beautiful 10” cherry woodwork, tongue and groove doors still adorning the antique numbers from days past. An elegant hand carved German staircase leads up to four charming bedrooms, one including an 1800’s iron bed. There is also two full baths upstairs. One has an antique clawfoot bathtub. Also, there is a bedroom and full bath on the main level, with a washer and dryer for your convenience. There is an antique ¾” chopping block that makes for a great prep area. The hickory table and chairs remind you of days gone by, all the while, enjoying the modern conveniences of today. Since the owner is an antique collector, artist and rug maker, you get to explore a home filled with wonderful pieces, along with captivating treasures. You may choose to curl up in front of a cozy fire in the oversized family room, or relax on the sofa and watch cable television. On the wrap around porch there’s a swing to watch the time and people go by or an outdoor dining set for pleasant conversations or sharing a meal. Barn Treasures is only minutes from Brown County State Park, featuring beautiful scenery, hiking trails, and a swimming pool and horseback riding for summertime fun! Also, for evening entertainment, you can enjoy the Little Nashville Opry, which hosts many country and western stars. Looking for a game of golf? Salt Creek Golf Retreat is just down the road.
